Aspiration à l'amour par Mère

 

Le 23 juillet 1913

Ô Seigneur, Splendeur inconcevable, 

que Ta Beauté se répande sur la terre, 

que Ton Amour s’allume dans les cœurs 

et que Ta Paix règne sur tous.

Un chant grave et profond, 

souriant et subtil, s’élève de mon cœur, 

et je ne sais si ce chant va de moi vers Toi ou de Toi vers moi 

ou bien si Toi, moi et l’univers entier sommes ce chant merveilleux dont je viens de prendre conscience 

… 

Il n’y a certes plus de Toi, ni de moi, ni d’univers distinct ; 

il y a une immense, sublime, infinie harmonie qui est toute chose et dont toute chose prendra conscience un jour.

C’est l’harmonie de l’Amour sans limite, l’Amour vainqueur de toute souffrance et de toute obscurité.

Selon cette loi d’Amour, Ta loi, je veux vivre de plus en plus intégralement ; à elle je me donne sans réserve.

Et mon être exulte d’une Paix inexprimable.

O Lord, inconceivable Splendour, may Thy Beauty spread through all the earth, may Thy Love be kindled in every heart and Thy Peace reign over all.

A deep and solemn chant, smiling and subtle, rises from my heart, and I do not know whether this chant goes from me to Thee or comes from Thee to me or whether Thou and I and the entire universe are this marvellous chant of which I have just become conscious. . . . Surely there is no longer any Thou or I or any separate universe; only an immense harmony is there, sublime and infinite, which is all things and of which all things will one day grow aware. It is the harmony of boundless Love, Love victorious over all suffering and all obscurity.

By this law of Love, Thy law, I want to live more and more integrally; to it unreservedly I give myself.

And all my being exults in an inexpressible Peace.
